Hi Kim,

You can add any video that adheres to GMB’s guidelines. This would mean your virtual tour would definitely be on the short side, as Google only accepts videos up to 30 seconds long and 100mb in size (https://support.google.com/business/answer/6103862#video-guidelines). That said, there has been speculation that Google is allowing longer videos, so it may be worth trying to upload something longer, but I wouldn’t rely on it with any certainty. Hi Nancy,

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble uploading videos to GMB. Have you checked your file is in compliance with GMB’s guidelines? Videos that exceed 100mb won’t be permitted, so it could be that Google is trying to compress your video to keep it within those parameters.

So what changed? I added a video, it’s been two weeks but I see that on mobile decides when viewing a listing in search/maps you can’t even choose the video tab, no way to see the video!

Hi Andrew,

We’re unsure why some aren’t seeing the option yet. It’s possible it hasn;t arrived in Canada, but other theories are that it could take a while to collect results or that directions requests have to pass a certain threshold before the heatmap activates. Do let us know when you see it in Canada!
