Hi Jon,

I can agree that businesses within businesses is not always straightforward but this area will likely continue to develop in terms of Google’s guidelines. Typically, Google is looking for ‘evidence’ or backup that the locations you are trying to bulk verify exist in the manner which you want them represented. If these are new locations that are beginning to open, this may be a challenge in itself. If Google does not see these businesses on streetview, other citations, or a website, then they may deny bulk verification.

As long as you have ensured these are separately operating entities and not just a service, you should be able to get bulk verified by providing images of the locations and a website listing all address details. I would respond back to your verification email with this info.

Best of luck!

Just thought I’d add something from my own experience here. I’ve recently tried to apply for bulk verification for a client that mine that is opening audiology businesses within existing opticians (that it doesn’t own).

GMB have refused to allow us to bulk verify locations which is very frustrating as they’re legitimate businesses and the company growing rapidly. It seems like Google’s policy with businesses inside businesses is that they are allowed to exist, but are not allowed to bulk verify.

I’d be interested to hear from anyone who’s been successful in bulk verifying businesses within other businesses? An example of this (without revealing my client’s information) would be ‘Johnson Cleaners’ inside ‘Asda Falmouth Superstore’ here in the UK.

Many thanks,

J
